Cooling Cover - Iceberg White

This revolutionary cooling fabric is always cool to the touch. Made from a clever yarn which rapidly transfers heat away from the surface so your dog's Barney Bed always feels like it's been flipped to the cool side without the use of any cooling gels or liquids. Barney Cooling Cover fits over your Barney Bed and existing cover for the ultimate cooling comfort without compromising on comfort and orthopedic support. About the Barney Covers

Is the cover waterproof?

No, our covers are not waterproof as we designed them to be as comfy and soft as possible and waterproof materials are not often comfy to the touch. We have, however, designed the covers to be super easy to remove and wash whenever needed. We created the Waterproof lining Kit which you can fit over the interior of your Barney Bed- just like your own mattress protector, which will fully protect your Barney Bed from water/pee accidents.

Are there any other colors?

The Barney Bed is sold in its grey colourway cover and the Barney Signature Bed and BarneyCurl Beds are sold in the Bone colourway cover. All additional covers are sold separately.

I already have a bed. Do you sell just the covers?

Yes! Please choose the same size cover as your Original Barney Bed. Our covers are specifically designed to only fit the Barney Bed. You can check your bed size on the tag inside your cover or if you have any questions about the bed size you ordered, please send an email to online@barneybed.com and we’ll be happy to look up your order.

I fit my zip cover on my bed, why doesn’t look fitted like the photos online?

This is because your original cover needs to be fully removed, and the memory foam inserts need to be inserted into your zip cover. Our zip covers (Bouclé Cover, Teddy Covers, Arthur-Itis Cover, Jet Black Covers) are a replacement for the original cover and are not intended to be fitted over the cover.

Care Instructions

Our Slip Covers are designed to fit on and off your Barney Bed super easily, which makes washing a breeze! To wash, simply take the cover off your Barney Bed and wash on a warm, gentle machine wash. Do not use bleach or any harsh chemicals. Wash with similar colours. Air dry your cover in the shade inside out. Do not tumble dry.

Please note, this fabric is made up of nano threads which is what makes the fabric cool, but will pill when friction is applied. This is a property of the cooling fabric and is not a sign of a defect. Simply cut the pilled thread off with scissors or a lint shaver. Although the Cooling Covers are strong, we do not recommend it for dogs that scratch their bed. The Cooling Cover will withstand light scratching and nesting only.

Shipping

Shipping is free within Australia for orders over $250.* Orders under $250 will incur a shipping fee of $12.95. *XL and XXL beds are considered oversized items and will be shipped via courier. Shipping fees will apply, and they will calculate at checkout based on your location. We also offer low-rate international shipping, but please allow extra time for customs clearance. International shipping fees will calculate at checkout based on your location. Duties and taxes may apply upon arrival and are not covered by Barney Bed. All in stock items will be dispatched within 2 business days and typically arrive within 2-8 business days depending on your location.

Warranty

We offer a 12-month warranty on covers against manufacturing defects only. This warranty applies to defects due to faulty workmanship or materials. It does not cover normal wear and tear or damages due to rough dog use, which includes but is not limited to; excessive scratching, biting, chewing, digging. Barney Bed will not be responsible for any damages resulting from not following the care instructions. Please see Full Warranty Details on our FAQs page.

Returns & Exchanges

Returns must be requested within 14 days of the delivery date. The cover must be unused, free from dog hair and in brand-new condition to be eligible for a refund or exchange.

Although this material is cool to the touch

Although this material is cool to the touch, it snags easily just from a chew bone. My dogs play with bones all the time and now the cover is covered in snags. Not great quality for the price. You must let everyone know that nochewa toys can go on this cover. I’m very disappointed as this is my third cover. The first one was the basic cover andafter My two dogs wrestled on it the material started to get snags on it. Very poor quality.

Thank you so much for your feedback. We’ve also emailed you with more information - the Cooling Cover is made with Nano threads, which give it that cool-to-the-touch feel but can be prone to pilling or snagging. This is completely normal for the fabric and not a defect. A quick trim or use of a lint shaver will have it looking brand new again!
