Each Cover is designed specifically for either the Barney Bed or BarneyCurl. Covers with Curl in their name are made for the BarneyCurl, while all other Covers fit the Original Barney Bed.

Choosing a cover

Will a cover fit my bed?

Each cover is made for one bed and comes in its sizes. Covers with Curl in their name fit the BarneyCurl, and the rest fit the Barney Bed. Choose the same size as your bed, which is on the tag inside its cover; if you are not sure, email us at online@barneybed.com and we will look up your order.

What is the difference between a zip cover and a slip-on cover?

A zip cover replaces your bed’s cover: you move the memory foam from the old cover into the new one, for a fitted look. A slip-on cover goes over your bed’s cover like a fitted sheet, with an elastic base, for a relaxed look that comes off quickly for washing.

Are the covers waterproof?

No: we made the covers as soft and comfy as we could, and waterproof fabrics rarely are. The protection is inside the bed: the Barney Signature Bed and the BarneyCurl come with a waterproof lining, and the Waterproof Lining Kit fully waterproofs an Original Barney Bed.

Care

Can I machine wash my cover?

Yes. Wash it on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent and hang it inside out to dry in the shade. Never bleach it or tumble dry it, and follow the care label inside your cover, which has its fabric’s own advice.

Can I clean my cover between washes?

Yes. Spot clean a stain when the cover doesn’t need a full wash, and vacuum it or use a Furfy to lift dog hair.
