Made from 100% natural flax linen in neutral but tonal, ‘Oat’ exudes effortless style. The cover zips off your BarneyCurl bed for easy cover change and washing. The best thing about natural linen is how it gets softer and more comfortable with each wash, making it even more difficult to get your dog out of bed.
About the Barney Covers
Is the cover waterproof?
No, our covers are not waterproof as we designed them to be as comfy and soft as possible and waterproof materials are not often comfy to the touch. We have, however, designed the covers to be super easy to remove and wash whenever needed. We created the Waterproof lining Kit which you can fit over the interior of your Barney Bed- just like your own mattress protector, which will fully protect your Barney Bed from water/pee accidents.
Are there any other colors?
The Barney Bed is sold in its original grey cover. We have a wide range of covers available in lots of different colors and materials. We often release new covers, so stay tuned on our website and socials!
I already have a bed. Do you sell just the covers?
Yes! Please choose the same size cover as your Original Barney Bed. Our covers are specifically designed to only fit the Barney Bed. You can check your bed size on the tag inside your cover or if you have any questions about the bed size you ordered, please send an email to online@barneybed.com and we’ll be happy to look up your order.
I fit my zip cover on my bed, why doesn’t look fitted like the photos online?
This is because your original grey cover needs to be fully removed, and the memory foam inserts need to be inserted into your zip cover. Our zip covers (Bouclé Cover, Teddy Covers, Arthur-Itis Cover, Jet Black Covers) are a replacement for the original grey cover and are not intended to be fitted over the grey cover.

My dogs and I are in LOVE with this cover. I've been diligently switching out all of our things to minimize our exposure to microplastics and this is the only brand of dog bed I was able to find that combined safe memory foam with a natural fiber cover. I hope they make linen covers for the donut beds soon so I can get my dogs one or two of those also! One more suggestion - make a "deep" version of the donut bed. My dogs like the sides to come up high and nearly hide them 🙂

Beautiful colour, hard to put on the bed but great regardless

Big rip at the seam, not caused by dog scratching.

I'm sorry to see the rip in your Retro Linen Cover Our Linen Covers are super durable and our seams are reinforced as we know dogs love to scratch and nest in their bed. All our covers can withstand light scratching/nesting only. They have been used successfully by all kinds of dogs big and small, they are a favourite due to their durability and beautiful natural fibres. I can see you have had this cover over a year now, and unfortunately this kind of damage is not covered under our 12 month warranty. Based on the nature of the tear in the fabric and how it has frayed, this would have been caused by rough scratching. Dogs are very strong and dig and tear through very tough materials. If the tear was caused by a defect, the seams would have split cleanly all the way through. Of course, we want our customers to be happy with their Barney Bed purchased, and I can see we have offered you a store credit or a discount to put towards a replacement.
