The Barney linen cover is designed with your convenience in mind - it pops on and off with ease for quick and convenient washing. The best thing about natural linen is how it gets softer and more comfortable with each wash, making it even more difficult to get your dog out of bed.
About the Barney Covers
Is the cover waterproof?
No, our covers are not waterproof as we designed them to be as comfy and soft as possible and waterproof materials are not often comfy to the touch. We have, however, designed the covers to be super easy to remove and wash whenever needed. We created the Waterproof lining Kit which you can fit over the interior of your Barney Bed- just like your own mattress protector, which will fully protect your Barney Bed from water/pee accidents.
Are there any other colors?
The Barney Bed is sold in its original grey cover. We have a wide range of covers available in lots of different colors and materials. We often release new covers, so stay tuned on our website and socials!
I already have a bed. Do you sell just the covers?
Yes! Please choose the same size cover as your Original Barney Bed. Our covers are specifically designed to only fit the Barney Bed. You can check your bed size on the tag inside your cover or if you have any questions about the bed size you ordered, please send an email to online@barneybed.com and we’ll be happy to look up your order.
I fit my zip cover on my bed, why doesn’t look fitted like the photos online?
This is because your original grey cover needs to be fully removed, and the memory foam inserts need to be inserted into your zip cover. Our zip covers (Bouclé Cover, Teddy Covers, Arthur-Itis Cover, Jet Black Covers) are a replacement for the original grey cover and are not intended to be fitted over the grey cover.

Beautiful colour, hard to put on the bed but great regardless

Big rip at the seam, not caused by dog scratching.

I'm sorry to see the rip in your Retro Linen Cover Our Linen Covers are super durable and our seams are reinforced as we know dogs love to scratch and nest in their bed. All our covers can withstand light scratching/nesting only. They have been used successfully by all kinds of dogs big and small, they are a favourite due to their durability and beautiful natural fibres. I can see you have had this cover over a year now, and unfortunately this kind of damage is not covered under our 12 month warranty. Based on the nature of the tear in the fabric and how it has frayed, this would have been caused by rough scratching. Dogs are very strong and dig and tear through very tough materials. If the tear was caused by a defect, the seams would have split cleanly all the way through. Of course, we want our customers to be happy with their Barney Bed purchased, and I can see we have offered you a store credit or a discount to put towards a replacement. I hope this helps We really appreciate your understanding. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.
I am very happy with this cover. The quality is really good and durable. It’s easy to put on and take off. It’s also stays somewhat cool. I only gave it 4 stars because I wish it was wrapped in a bag or at the very least folded nicely. It was kind of shoved in there and it seemed like it was second hand at first. The waterproof kit came in a plastic bag so I was a bit confused but the cover itself is worth 5 stars! Definitely will be buying more of these!
